Currently I am taking votes on the projects for next year's bead alongs.
Voting has closed.
I will be announcing the next bead along as soon as I clear it with the designer.
I started doing bead alongs because I wanted to push myself and others and sometimes that is just easier to do with a group rather than by yourself. Also, I wanted to introduce people to new designers that they may have never heard of or ones that they never thought they could accomplish their pieces.
I search for projects that interest me, can be broken down in easily definable sections and look like fun. I then start the voting on the pieces and no we don’t get to do all of them. The voting phase is what we are the middle of right now.
Once the voting is done, I then reach out to the designers of the top 3 pieces to see if they are ok with all of us doing this together. If they are, then I figure out how many sessions each piece needs and how I can schedule them.
I then announce the project and set up the website to accumulate registrants. Everyone must register - this allows you access to special emails with hints and tips. You also get the information to meet us on Zoom or in person to work on the piece - usually the last Sunday of each month from 1 - 5 PM Eastern time. Plus you have registrant only access to kits for the project.
There is no fee to join us. You do not have to purchase a kit. You MUST purchase your own copy of the pattern from the designer.
We all help each other - giving understanding of what a particular instruction means - tips on working through some parts and encouragement.
These are meant to be worked on together - but you always work at your own pace.
Please do not fill this out at this time - it will become active once the first bead along is scheduled.
By signing up here you are agreeing to receive emails from Owl Be Beading regarding the bead a long only. If you wish to register for my weekly newsletter you can do so by clicking here.
This is not a class - we are helping each other out and giving each other moral support as we tackle these projects.
There is no fee for joining us.
There is no one teaching how to do this - we are all learning together from each other.
You must purchase the pattern from
People will be in my shop and others will be joining via Zoom.
This will be the Sundays listed above, - you have plenty of time in between sessions to get work done on the piece if you want.
I will be on Zoom and in the shop for each session and they will run from 1 - 5 on the Sunday's listed above.
You do not need to be present for each session - come when you want - stay as long as you want.
